Units & Buildings FAQs
How do I equip units?
The game will automatically equip the best units for whatever action you're taking. For example, when you attack something, you'll use units that give you maximum attack. If you defend against an attack, you'll use your best defense units.
How does unit attack/defense work?
For every level of your character, you can bring 5 allies to battle. For each of those allies, you can bring 6 of your own units to battle. The combined stats of those units are what results in your attack / defense. The game will automatically choose the best units for your army, depending on whether you are attacking or being attacked.
Unit attack / defense does not stack cumulatively. What all this means is that if each of your allies has a unit with 100 attack, purchasing one with 99 attack or lower will have no impact on your attack stats. If you were to instead purchase a unit with 101 attack, you would see a gain of 1 attack as a weaker unit was replaced.
Why did the item I purchased not raise my stats by the full amount?
For every level of your character, you can bring 5 allies to battle (up to the cap of 500). For each of those allies, you can bring 6 of your units to battle. The total attack and defense of your best units determines your stats going into the battle. For any units beyond the maximum amount, only the best ones will be chosen. Please also note that every unit (except those bought with gold) has a casualty rate, and can be lost performing jobs or fighting rivals.
What can I do with items I no longer want?
Recycle unwanted unit items from your inventory for money and/or valor. To begin, tap on an unwanted unit to launch the recycling popup. In the popup, pressing the [ONE] button incrementally adds a unit to recycle or pressing the [ALL] button adds all units to recycle. The “Recycle Value” area displays the total value received from all selected units. Tapping [CONFIRM] when done returns you to the main recycle screen with the unit selected to recycle. Tap the [Recycle X Units] button and then the [OKAY] button to recycle all selected units.
Note: Any unit that has been purchased with gold can't be recycled. This includes LE items, Crates, Temporary Boosts, and Mission Plan tokens. Additionally, if you recycle items required for goal completion, you will not receive credit for collection of those items. You must retain all goal required collection items until after you have completed the goal and received credit.
What are consumable items?
Under the Specials tab in your Store, you may now purchase consumable items for later use. These items include Energy, Stamina, and Health refills. To purchase, tap on the desired item to open the purchase screen where you may then select how many you would like to buy. After you have purchased the item, you may use it in these ways: Energy or Stamina may be refilled from the Inventory Special tab by tapping on the red [Use] button and then tapping again on the green [Use] button. If you decide not to refill at that time, you may instead tap the red [Cancel] button. You may also tap on the blue or red bar at the top of the screen for immediate refills. After you have tapped on the bar, you will have the options to "Use from Inventory" or "Fill" which then deducts the cost of the refill at the time of purchase. You may refill your Health from the Inventory Specials tab in the same way as for Energy or Stamina if there is a current event which uses Health. Additionally, health can be refilled during World Domination, Epic Boss, and Raid Boss events in the usual manner from the event screen.
How does the Inventory tab work?
If you open your in-game Menu and tap on the new Inventory tab, you will be able to view and sort through all of your Buildings (money, unit, defense, or boost) and Units (infantry, ground, air, sea). Buildings can be sorted by newest, by output, or A to Z. Units can be sorted by newest, by attack or defense, or A to Z.
While at this time you cannot sort your Units by Bonus type in the Inventory tab, this may change in the future. In the meantime, you can view your units with Bonuses under the Profile tab under Stats, Total Bonuses, and [View Bonuses]. There is also a Specials tab where you will find Energy, Stamina, and Health.
Although you cannot sort your Special items, you can see how many you have of each, and may choose to use certain items which are consumable. Energy or Stamina may be refilled by tapping on the red [Use] button and then tapping again on the green [Use] button. If you decide not to refill at that time, you may instead tap the red [Cancel] button. You may refill your Health in the same way if there is a current event which uses Health.
Please note that you cannot purchase units or special items through the Inventory tab, and must visit your store in order to make these purchases.
What is valor?
Valor is used as a form of currency to purchase certain units and equipment.
What is a defense building?
Defense buildings increase your defense, which corresponds to your ability to fend off an attack made on you. These buildings also raise the defense of buildings within its area of effect.
What's the maximum level my buildings can reach?
Money buildings currently have a maximum level of 20, while Defense and Boost buildings have a maximum level of 10.
What is the maximum number of buildings of a certain type I can own?
In most cases, you can have two of each Money building, five of each Defense building, 1 of each Boost building, and 1 of each Unit building.
There are some LE money buildings which you may have a maximum of 4, and some boost buildings which you may have a maximum of 2 each.
After you reach the maximum for a particular building, it is removed as an option from the store.
Where can I place my Shipyard/Dry Docks?
Shipyards, Dry Docks, and other coastal buildings need to be built partially on land and partially in the water. Make sure you have one land square and one water square, and then try placing your building on the coast.
