What are the benefits of using Game Center to play DragonVale?
Using Game Center allows you to fully save your game progress and is the best way to keep your park safe on an iOS device. Without a Game Center nickname, it may not be possible for us to restore your park in the event it is lost.
Saving a Local Park to Game Center
How can I save my local park to a Game Center account
If you are currently playing with a local park and want to associate it with your Game Center account, please follow these steps:
- Sign out of Game Center in the device settings
- Open the park in DragonVale and tap the Social icon
- Tap the Game Center login button
- Enter the Apple ID and password associated with your Game Center account.
- Tap yes to confirm that you want to connect the park to Game Center
Forgot Game Center Login Information
I forgot my Game Center login information and have created a new Game Center account. Can Backflip transfer my park to my new account?
If a technical situation requires a transfer, please send us an email at support@decagames.com or submit a request using the link at the top of the page. Please be sure to include the Game Center nickname your park is currently associated with, as well as the new Game Center nickname you need the park moved to. We will do our best to accommodate accordingly.
We do not have any access to your Game Center account information here at Backflip Studios and therefore cannot retrieve this information. For password and account retrieval, please try recovering it here.
I updated my iOS and cannot access my old Game Center/Apple ID account because a pop up tells me my name has already been taken.
This is likely happening because you are signed into a different Apple ID than the one that is associated with your Game Center account. To fix this, you will need to sign into Game Center using the correct Apple ID and password. If you are having trouble remembering your account information, you can try recovering it here.

I created a new Game Center account by accident. How do I retrieve my old account?
You will need to sign out of the Game Center account you are currently signed into, then sign into the correct one. If you are unable to remember the login information for the correct account, please send us an email at support@decagames.com or submit a request using the link at the top of the page. We would be happy to see if we can help.
I used a fake email account to create my Game Center account OR my child cannot remember the security answers therefore I cannot retrieve the account info.
We have no access to this information, but suggest getting in touch with Apple/iTunes here in order to retrieve your account information.
Park Has Been Reset
I went to play DragonVale and my park is back to level 1! Help!
If you're not seeing your park and you believe it was being saved with Game Center, it is likely you just need to sign back into your Game Center account to restore your park. Please see the instructions for restoring lost parks here.
Changing Game Center Accounts
I was playing on another person's device with their Game Center account. Now I have my own device and want to continue that game.
If you need a park moved, please send us an email at support@decagames.com or submit a request using the link at the top of the page. Please be sure to include the Game Center nickname your park is currently associated with, and the Game Center nickname you would like the park moved to. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
Switching From Android to iOS
How can I transfer my park from Android to iOS or vice versa?
Game Center is an Apple service, but parks can be switched from Android to iOS using Facebook or Google. Please see the article below for instructions:

Creating Multiple Parks
Can I have more than one DragonVale park connected to my Game Center account?
With DragonVale 3.9.0 and higher, you can easily create multiple parks and connect them to the same Game Center account. This is great news for families that share a device, or for those who just can’t get enough DragonVale and would like to have more than one park.
How do I create a new park?
Creating a new park is so easy it’s almost like magic! Here’s how:
- Open DragonVale and tap the “Options” icon
- Tap the “Switch Parks” button
- Tap the “Create A New Park” button
- Tap “Yes” to confirm you want to create a new park
- DragonVale will reload and you will be launched into your new park
Signing Out of Game Center
How can I sign out of a Game Center account?
You can sign out of Game Center in your device settings. Here's how:
1. Tap the Settings icon on your device
2. Scroll down and tap on Game Center
3. Tap on your Apple ID, then tap “Sign Out” in the window that pops up
