Getting Started

An unknown force has drained color throughout the Vale! Now you must all band together as Gardenia's Color Guard to restore beauty to the land!

Your park must be at least level 11 to participate in this event, which began on February 14th, 2019. If you’re above level 11 and the event hasn’t started for you, you may be playing on an older version of DragonVale. Please update to the most recent version through your device's app store. The correct version for the event is 4.13.0.

Collecting Roses

During this event Roses can be earned in a variety of ways. Roses can then be exchanged for fabulous prizes at the Bouquet Boutique!

Ways to Earn Roses:

  • Collecting from habitats
  • Breeding dragons
  • Incubating dragons
  • Hatching dragons
  • Selling newly-hatched dragons
  • Playing games in Gardenia's Gamery
  • Competing in challenges at the Rose Ring
  • Competing in Colosseum events
  • Collecting daily rewards at the Presentium Compendium
  • Finding and tapping on special visitors
  • Watching Visions at Tolzar's Optical Oracle

Collecting Roses After You've Reached the Daily Cap

It is important to note that you can continue to contribute Roses towards the community rewards after you've reached your daily cap. These additional Roses are not added to your personal total, but will be added to your community contribution. Once the community collects enough Roses you'll all be given a prize!

Purchasing Roses

Roses can also be purchased through the Market. Purchased Roses do not count against your daily collection limit.

Choosing a House

house-banners.jpg

If you participated in the Arcane Pentournament or Roar of the Rift events you will have already selected a House and do not need to choose again.

If you did not already choose a House in a previous event, you will be prompted to select a House during the event tutorial. This choice is permanent and cannot be changed afterward, so please choose carefully. After you make your selection you will receive your House’s mascot dragon and banner in your gifts menu!

The Bouquet Boutiqueprizes.jpg

The Bouquet Boutique can be found on the event island and contains all the prizes that can be earned in the event. Prizes are divided into different collections, and collecting more unique prizes will unlock the higher prize tiers.

Exchanging Roses for Prizes

  • Visit the Bouquet Boutique and tap the Prizes icon
  • View available prizes by tapping each of the different collections
  • A counter on each prize will show you how many of that item you currently own. Please note that dragons that have not yet been hatched will not be counted.

Unlocking Prize Collections

Collecting more unique prizes will unlock the higher tiers. The number of unique prizes required to unlock each tier is visible within the Bouquet Boutique. If you already own an item from one of the prize collections it will count towards unlocking higher tiers. Please note that multiples of the same item do not count towards unlocking higher tiers.

Activities & Games

Gardenia's Gamery

match-game.jpg    dragon-drop.jpg

Gardenia's Gamery contains two different mini games - Make a Match and Dragon Drop. You'll get 10 free plays in Gardenia's Gamery every 24 hours. Please note that these plays are shared between both games.

Make-a-Match - You will be presented with a game board of cards placed face-down. Test your memory to match two cards and win Roses!

Dragon Drop - A game of chance, Pachinko style! Tap to drop the coin and win Roses!

Buying More Plays

After you use your last play in Gardenia's Gamery you will have the option to purchase an additional play for 5 Gems. Purchasing additional plays is entirely optional and you will still receive your 10 free plays per day as usual.

Please note: If you have already reached your Rose limit for the day, buying more plays will not allow you to win more Roses for your personal total. Any Roses won after reaching the daily limit will be applied to your community contribution only.

Rose Ring

Similar to cooperative breeding, you can team up with friends’ dragons to compete in challenges and win Roses!

  • Challenges will last 4 hours each
  • You may complete up to 4 challenges per day
  • Choose the best dragons for the challenge by matching the dragons' elements to the elements of the current challenge

Special Visitors

As the event progresses, flag-bearing visitors will begin to appear in your park. Whenever the community contributes enough Roses to restore color to an element in DragonVale, your park will be visited each day by a flag-bearer representing that element.

Presentium Compendium

presentium1.jpg     presentium2.jpg

The Presentium Compendium rewards you for each day you play during the event. Earn free Roses, decorations, and other great prizes!

  • Check in each day for magical rewards and special surprises!
  • If you miss a day, don’t worry, you can spend a few gems to catch up. You cannot collect a day’s reward in advance.
  • You only have to login to DragonVale each day to be eligible for the reward. If you login, but forget to visit the Presentium Compendium, your reward will still be available to collect the next time you visit.

Community Rewards

community-icon.png

During Gardenia's Color Guard, all Roses you collect in your park will help to restore the color to DragonVale, and earn prizes for everyone in the DragonVale community. You can see how many Roses you've earned for the community at any time by tapping the bouquet of Roses underneath the Rose counter icon on the left side of your screen. The progress bar there represents the actual contributions from DragonVale players around the world.

Each time the community collects enough Roses, the color will be returned to one element and a reward will be given to everyone who contributed. After a reward is given the progress bar will reset and start counting towards the next goal.

It is important to note that you can continue to contribute Roses towards the community reward after you've reached your daily cap. This additional Roses are not added to your personal total, but will be added to your community contribution.

Gardenia's Color Guard runs through March 17th, 2019, and concludes on March 18th at 11am Mountain Time. It will not be possible to earn additional Roses after this time, but the Bouquet Boutique will remain open for two additional days so you can spend any leftover Roses you may have.
