Getting Started
Join DragonVale for the Jolly Jubilee, an all-new winter event! We’re introducing new dragons themed around the season, festive games, challenges, holiday-themed decorations, and daily rewards on the event island!
Your park must be at least level 11 to participate in this event, which began on December 14th, 2017. If you’re above level 11 and the event hasn’t started for you, you may be playing on an older version of DragonVale. Please update to the most recent version through your device's app store. The correct version for the event is 4.3.0.
Collecting Iceberries
During this event Iceberries can be earned in a variety of ways. Iceberries can then be turned in for fabulous prizes at the Mirthful Market!
Ways to Earn Iceberries:
- Collecting DragonCash or harvesting Treats
- Hatching dragons
- Clearing bushes and trees from new islands
- Clearing Miasmic Ether in the Rift
- Playing games in the Fort of Frivolity
- Competing in challenges at the Arctic Amphitheater
- Collecting daily rewards at the Glacial Giftery
- Receiving gifts from friends
- Visiting friends’ parks and tapping party hats
- Competing in Colosseum events
- Questing at the Perch of Kairos and Gaia’s Nest
- Finding and tapping on Lumi in your park
Collecting Iceberries After You've Reached the Daily Cap
It is important to note that you can continue to contribute Iceberries towards the community rewards after you've reached your daily cap. These additional Iceberries are not added to your personal total, but will be added to your community contribution. Once the community earns enough Iceberries you'll all be given a prize!
Purchasing Iceberries
Iceberries can also be purchased through the Market. Purchased Iceberries do not count against your daily collection limit.
The Mirthful Market
The Mirthful Market can be found on the event island and contains all the prizes that can be earned in the event. Prizes are divided into several tiers, and collecting more unique prizes will unlock higher tiers.
Exchanging Iceberries for Prizes
- Visit the Mirthful Market and tap the Prizes menu
- View available prizes by tapping each of the different collections
- Select a prize from one of the many items available
- A counter on each prize will show you how many of that item you currently own. Please note that dragons that have not yet been hatched will not be counted.
- The more unique prizes you earn, the more collections you will unlock
Unlocking Higher Prize Tiers
Collecting more unique prizes will unlock higher tiers. The number of unique prizes required to unlock each tier is visible within the Mirthful Market. If you already own an item from one of the prize collections it will count towards unlocking higher tiers. Multiples of the same item do not count towards unlocking higher tiers.
Activities & Games
Fort of Frivolity
The Fort of Frivolity contains two different mini games - Wheel of Chance and Dragon Drop. You'll get 10 plays in the Fort of Frivolity each day. Please note that these 10 plays are shared between both games.
Wheel of Chance - Give the wheel a spin and be rewarded with the number of Iceberries or Gems the needle lands on.
Dragon Drop - A game of chance, Pachinko style! Tap to drop and win Iceberries or Gems!
Buying More Plays
New for this event is the ability to purchase more plays after you've run out for the day. Once you use your last play you will have the option to purchase an additional play for 5 Gems. Purchasing additional plays is entirely optional and you will still receive your 10 free plays per day as usual.
Please note: If you have already reached your Iceberry limit for the day, buying more plays will not allow you to win more Iceberries for your personal total. Any Iceberries won after reaching the daily limit will be applied to your community contribution only.
Arctic Amphitheater
Similar to cooperative breeding, you can team up with friends’ dragons to compete in challenges and win Iceberries!
- Challenges will last two hours each
- You may complete up to five challenges per day
- Choose the best dragons for the challenge by matching your dragon's elements to the elements of the current challenge
- Iceberries collected from the Arctic Amphitheater after your daily limit has been reached will not be added to your personal total, but will be counted towards the community rewards.
Glacial Giftery
The Glacial Giftery rewards you for each day you play during the Jolly Jubilee. Earn free Iceberries, Gems, and even dragons!
- Check in each day for magical rewards and special surprises!
- If you miss a day, don’t worry, you can spend a few gems to catch up. You cannot collect a day’s reward in advance.
- You only have to login to DragonVale each day to be eligible for the reward. If you login, but forget to visit the Glacial Giftery, your reward will still be available to collect the next time you visit.
Community Rewards
During the Jolly Jubilee, all Iceberries you collect in your park count towards earning prizes for everyone in the DragonVale community. You can see how many Iceberries you've earned for the community at any time by tapping the basket of Iceberries underneath the Iceberry counter icon on the left side of your screen. The progress bar there represents the community progress from all DragonVale players.
Once the community has earned enough Iceberries, a reward will be given to everyone who contributed. After a reward is given, the progress bar will reset and start counting towards the next reward.
It is important to note that you can continue to contribute Iceberries towards the community reward after you've reached your daily cap. This additional Iceberries are not added to your personal total, but will be added to your community contribution.

Why hasn’t the event begun in my park yet?

What is the daily limit of Iceberries?
Iceberries are normally limited to 1000 per day, but be on the lookout for special occasions where there are more Iceberries available! Keep in mind, purchases in the market are not affected by the daily limit. Please note that you can continue to earn Iceberries for the DragonVale community even after you've hit your personal limit for the day.
When can I collect more Iceberries?
Your daily cap for Iceberries will reset each day at 11am MST. Check back each day for more Iceberries and more chances to earn prizes!
Why am I being charged Gems to play games?
If you've already used your 10 free plays for the day you will have the option to purchase additional plays for 5 Gems each. This is entirely optional and you will still receive your 10 free plays per day as usual.
Will buying more plays at the Fort of Frivolity allow me to collect Iceberries beyond the normal daily limit?
If you have already reached your Iceberry limit for the day, buying more plays will not allow you to win more Iceberries for your personal total. Any Iceberries won after reaching the daily limit will be applied to your community contribution only.
When does the Jolly Jubilee end?
The Jolly Jubilee runs through January 16th, 2018, and concludes on January 17th at 11am MST. It will not be possible to earn additional Iceberries after this time, but the Mirthful Market will remain open for an additional day so you can turn in any leftover Iceberries you may have.
When does the Mirthful Market close?
The Mirthful Market will close at 11am MST on Janurary 18th and event prizes will no longer be available after this time. You will not be able to earn additional Iceberries during this additional day, but you will have the opportunity to turn in any leftover Iceberries for prizes, as well as collect up to 1000 Iceberries from your Gifts menu.
I have Iceberries remaining in my Gifts menu. Will these be added to my total when the event ends?
Any Iceberries stored in your Gifts menu must be collected in order to be added to your total. You can collect up to 1,000 Iceberries from your Gifts on the day between the event ending and the Mirthful Market closing.
What happens to my leftover Iceberries at the end of the Jolly Jubilee?
After the Mirthful Market closes on Janurary 18th, we'll turn any leftover Iceberries into DragonCash at the rate of 1,000 DragonCash per 1 Iceberry.
When is my last chance to purchase Iceberries if I need a few more?
To prevent any potential issues with purchases being made as the event is ending, Iceberry purchasing will be turned off at 8am MST on January 18th, 3 hours prior to the closing of the Mirthful Market.
