Bring 'Em Back Has Arrived!
What is Bring ‘Em Back?
This is a special time where all limited dragons (released before the Frostival), buildings, and decorations from past 4 years have returned!
Can I breed the returning dragons?
Yes, all dragons available for purchase in the Market can be bred.
When does Bring ‘Em Back end?
Bring ‘Em Back will last through January 11th.

Getting Started
Why hasn’t the event begun in my park yet?
Your park level must be at least level 11 to begin this event, which begins on December 10th, 2015.
If you’re above level 11, you might be playing on an older version of DragonVale, please update to the most recent version through the App Store, Google Play, or Amazon Marketplace. (The correct version for the event is 3.4.0)
I missed the help menus / event tutorials, what should I do?
This event is all about playing games, collecting Iceberries around your park, and turning the Iceberries in for fabulous prizes at the Snowfall Spire.
If you select the Snowfall Spire, then tap Help, you can view all the information on the event.
When does the event end?
The Winter Frostival will last through January 4th.
Collecting Iceberries
To earn amazing event prizes you’ll have to collect Iceberries from various activities. How do you earn Iceberries, you ask?
Earning Iceberries
- Collecting cash from habitats
- Breeding Dragons
- Clearing bushes and trees from new islands
- Playing games!
- Finding Sandakloz and, eventually, tappable presents
- During The Winter Frostival your park will be visited by Sandakloz, the jolly, present-toting Wizard. Tapping him will reward you with extra Iceberries!
- At some point during the Frostival presents will begin appearing in your park. Find and tap them to earn some extra Iceberries!
Purchasing Iceberries
Iceberries can also be purchased through the Market
Purchases are allowed above your daily cap*
*Please note that only so many Iceberries are available to collect each day. Once you hit your maximum you can check the Snowfall Spire to see how long until more Iceberries are obtainable.
FAQ:
Why aren’t I earning any Iceberries? When do my Iceberries reset?
There is a limit on how many Iceberries you can collect each day. To check how much time before you can collect Iceberries again you can visit the Snowfall Spire.
What is the daily limit of Iceberries?
Iceberries are normally limited to 1000 per day, but be on the lookout for special occasions where there are more magic Iceberries available! (More on that below) Keep in mind, purchases in the market can go above the daily limit!
Why is there a daily collection limit on Iceberries during the Frostival?
The Iceberries are magic and a spell is cast every day at the same time, but the magic only allows for a finite amount.
Will there be opportunities to earn bonus Iceberries?
At random times throughout the Frostival players can earn more Iceberries than normal. Stay tuned to our Facebook community to learn more! www.facebook.com/dragonvale
Activities & Games
The Island is a hub of activity where you can play games and collect your prizes from the Snowfall Spire.
NEW! The Mystery Giftery
- This building is new for the Frostival! Check it each day for a magical reward!
- If you miss a day, don’t worry, you can spend a few gems to catch up. You cannot collect a day’s reward in advance.
- You only have to login to DragonVale each day to be eligible for the reward. If you login, but forget to visit The Mystery Giftery, your reward will still be available to collect next time you visit.
- Iceberries received from the Giftery are bonus and do not count towards your daily limit.
The Arctic Arena
- Looking to challenge your dragons? Visit The Arctic Arena and test your dragons with different elementally themed quests!
- Earn bonus Iceberries by selecting a dragon that matches the challenge’s elemental theme!
- Challenges take 2 hours to complete.
- Your dragons may complete up to 5 challenges per day.
Winter Vault of Whimsy
The Winter Vault of Whimsy contains two different games; a game of chance and a game of knowledge!
Wheel-of-Win - Give it a spin and be rewarded with the number of Iceberries (or Gems!) the needle lands on.
Name That Dragon - You will be presented with a dragon silhouette. Choose the correct dragon to win Iceberries!
- You have unlimited time to make a choice.
- Choosing correctly awards Iceberries and reveals the dragon.
- Choosing incorrectly awards one (1) Iceberry, reveals the dragon, and displays the correct answer.
FAQ:
Why can't I play any more games today / When can I play games again?
These games can be played up to 10 times daily. You can visit the Vault to check the time until games can be played again!
What happens to my winnings from Name That Dragon or The Wheel of Chance if I’ve already hit my limit of Iceberries for the day?
Once you hit your daily collection limit any winnings from games played thereafter, or from unfinished quests, will be added to your gifts list. You may collect these at a later date, but keep in mind accepting these gifts count toward your daily collection limit.
End of the Event

When does the Frostival end?
The Winter Frostival will last through January 4th, but the Snowfall Spire will remain open for a brief time after the event has ended. This will give you the opportunity to turn in any leftover Iceberries for prizes.
What happens to my leftover Iceberries at the end of the The Winter Frostival?
Good question.
The short answer is; nothing happens to your leftover Iceberries for ONE WEEK. You can still hop in the game, access the Snowfall Spire and spend your Iceberries however you'd like. At the END of that extra week, we'll turn your Iceberries into treats and place them in your gifts.
Why did we set it up this way?
In the past, because the prizes were achieved in a straight line, it was easy to know how much player's had earned towards the next reward and make choices for you. Now, since players have the choice to get whatever they want, whenever they want, we had to make some interesting decisions about the end of the event. Should we just pick some prizes and spend your Iceberries for you? Should we just tell you the event is over, tough cookies, and your Iceberries vanish? Those felt like bad answers, so we decided to leave the Snowfall Spire open an extra week, even though the event is over.
Why can I still buy Iceberries but not earn them?
Based on our decision to leave the Snowfall Spire open an extra week we had a discussion that was essentially, "What if I'm really close to getting a prize I really want? What do I do?" - which is a good question. What can we do for players who were close to achieving their goal, but were maybe on vacation when the event ended? Based on a small percentage of users who might want to reach for some items they missed, we decided to keep the Iceberries Market open.
Why not just make the event longer and let us earn Iceberries the whole time?
Then we end up at square one, which is "what do we do at the last moment when people haven't spent their Iceberries?"
