Getting Started
Love dragon is just thriving this time of the year! Join the Vale to see all the love.
Your park must be at least level 11 to participate in this event, which began on January 21st, 2021. If you’re above level 11 and the event hasn’t started for you, you may be playing on an older version of DragonVale. Please update to the most recent version through your device's app store. The correct version for the event is 4.21.
Earning Roses
During this event, Roses can be earned in a variety of ways. They can then be exchanged for fabulous prizes at the Bouquet Boutique!
Ways to Earn Roses:
- Collecting from habitats
- Breeding and hatching dragons
- Purchasing Dragons with Gems
- Watching Visions at Tolzar's Optical Oracle
- Competing in the Colosseum
- Selling newly-hatched dragons
- Finding and tapping on Gardenia
- Playing games in Gardenia’s Gamery
- Competing in challenges at the Rose Ring
- Collecting daily rewards at the Presentium Compendium
Collecting Prizes
The Bouquet Boutique can be found on the event island and contains all the prizes that can be earned in the event. Brand new decorations have been added to the Rosa tier. Don’t forget to check them out!
Exchanging Roses for Prizes
- Visit the Bouquet Boutique and tap the Prizes icon
- View available prizes by tapping each of the different collections
- A counter on each prize will show you how many of that item you currently own. Please note that dragons that have not yet been hatched will not be counted.

Gardenia’s Gamery
Name That Dragon - Show off your DragonVale knowledge when you take this multiple choice challenge. Win Roses when you guess correctly!
Name That Egg - Show off your DragonVale knowledge when you take this multiple choice challenge. Win Roses when you guess correctly!
Wheel of Chance - Give the wheel a spin and be rewarded with the number of Roses or Gems the needle lands on.
Dragon Drop - A game of chance, Pachinko style! Tap to drop the coin and win Roses!
Make-a-Match - You will be presented with a game board of cards placed face-down. Test your memory to match two cards and win Roses!
Buying More Plays
After you use your last available play at the Gardenia’s Gamery, you will have the option to purchase an additional play for 5 Gems. Purchasing an additional play is entirely optional and you will still receive your 5 free plays every 12 hours as usual.
Golden Chests
Sometimes mini-games contain a Golden Chest that will provide special rewards. You'll always have a small chance to find a Golden Chest when playing games, but buying an additional play gives a 100% chance of a Golden Chest appearing on your next turn. Please note that this only guarantees that the chest will appear, and not that you will be able to win the chest.
Presentium Compendium
The Presentium Compendium rewards you for each day you play during the event. Earn free Roses and even dragons!
Check in each day for magical rewards and special surprises!
If you miss a day, don’t worry, you can spend a few gems to catch up. You cannot collect a day’s reward in advance.
You only have to login to DragonVale each day to be eligible for the reward. If you login, but forget to visit the Presentium Compendium, your reward will still be available to collect the next time you visit.
Rose Ring
Similar to cooperative breeding, you can team up with friends’ dragons to compete in challenges and win Roses!
- Challenges will last six hours each
- Choose the best dragons for the challenge by matching your dragon's elements to the elements of the current challenge
Gardenia
Each day the lovely Gardenia will be walking around in your park! You will know when she’s there, once you see the pink border around the Visitors icon.
Community Rewards
During Valeice Getaway, all Roses you collect in your park will earn prizes for everyone in the DragonVale community. You can see how many Roses you've earned for the community at any time by tapping the bouquet of Roses underneath the Rose counter icon on the left side of your screen. The progress bar there represents the actual contributions from DragonVale players around the world.
Each time the community collects enough Roses, a reward will be given to everyone who contributed and the Box of Chocolates in the sky will change. After a reward is given, the progress bar will reset and start counting towards the next goal.
Choosing a House
If you participated in the Arcane Pentournament or Roar of the Rift events you will have already selected a House and do not need to choose again.
If you did not already choose a House in a previous event, you will be prompted to select a House once you click on the Bouquet Boutique. This choice is permanent and cannot be changed afterward, so please choose carefully. After you make your selection you will receive your House’s mascot dragon and banner in your gifts menu!
Dragon Donation
The surface lands are wild and untamed and Noel dePlante will need the protection of dragons that you breed and donate. Some requests will ask for a specific dragon, and others will simply require any dragon with the requested element.
Please note: Dragons that you donate to the Donation Deck will not be returned and you can only donate newly-hatched dragons.
To fill a donation:
- Tap on the Donation Deck or the Bouquet Boutique
- Tap the "Donation" icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap a space to view the request and reward for completing that space
- Breed the required dragon, then tap the "Donate" icon after hatching the new dragon
- If you aren't able to breed a requested dragon, you can use Gems to fill the request instead
You will earn Roses for each donation request you fill. Completing an entire line of requests will provide even more Roses, and filling the entire donation request will earn you the most Roses. You can complete up to 5 donation cards per day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why hasn’t the event begun in my park yet?
Your park must be at least level 11 to participate in this event, which began on January 21st, 2021.

What is the daily limit of Roses?
There is no overall daily limit on Roses in this event, but the maximum amount of Roses you can earn by collecting from habitats is 500 per day on a regular day and 1000 on a double day.
Why am I not receiving Roses when I collect from my habitats?
If you are no longer earning any Roses when you collect from habitats, that would indicate that you have reached your habitat limit for the day.
Why didn't I win the Golden Chest when I bought an additional play at the Gardenia’s Gamery?
Buying an additional play guarantees that a Golden Chest will appear as one of the possible prizes in that round, but does not guarantee that you will be able to win it. Please note that in Name that Dragon you must answer correctly before the timer expires in order to win the Golden Chest.
When does Valeice Getaway end?
The Valeice Getaway event runs through February 28th, and concludes on March 1st at 11:00 AM Mountain Time. It will not be possible to earn additional Roses after this time, but the Bouquet Boutique will remain open for two additional days so you can spend any leftover Roses you may have.
When does the Bouquet Boutique close?
The Bouquet Boutique will close on March 3rd at 11:00 AM Mountain Time and it will not be possible to claim event prizes after this time.
What happens to my leftover Roses at the end of Valeice Getaway?
After the Bouquet Boutique closes, we'll turn any leftover Roses into DragonCash at the rate of 1,000 DragonCash per 1 Rose.
Why don’t I have any visitors in my park?
During Valeice Getaway the lovely Gardenia is the clickable NPC in your park. Find her and tap on her for extra Roses!
What Happens to my dragons after I donate them?
Dragons donated to Noel will accompany him to the surface aboard his boat. Dragons that you donate will not be returned to your park.
Can I donate an existing dragon in my park?
Only newly-hatched dragons can be donated to the Donation Deck.
Until when can I donate dragons?
You can donate dragons to the Donation Deck until the end of the event - March 1st, 11am Mountain Time.
Why didn’t I get the community reward?
Only players that contributed Roses towards the goal will receive rewards once the goal is reached.
