Unstable Portal Error
If you are receiving an error message that says "It looks like the magical portal is unstable. Your connection to our servers has timed out. Make sure you're connected to the internet and try again", you are likely having some issues with your wifi or mobile data connection.
If you are connected with a mobile data connection (4G, 3G, etc.), please make sure you are in an area with good coverage and try loading DragonVale again.
If you are connecting over Wi-Fi, please reset your wifi connection using the steps below:
1. Turn off Wi-Fi in the settings menu of your device
2. Power cycle your Wi-Fi router
3. Power cycle your device
4. Turn Wi-Fi back on in the settings menu of your device

File Download Error
If you are receiving a message saying "There was an error downloading a required file", it could be caused by either a lack of available storage on your device, or a connection issue such as a weak or unstable wifi connection.
Please ensure you have enough available memory on your device by clearing at least 500mb of storage space. You can do this by deleting old photos, apps, etc. Next, power-cycle your device (turn it off, wait 60 seconds, then turn it back on again) and launch DragonVale again.
If you are still getting the error message, please try resetting your Wi-Fi connection using the following steps:
1. Turn off Wi-Fi in the settings menu of your device
2. Power cycle your Wi-Fi router
3. Power cycle your device
4. Turn Wi-Fi back on in the settings menu of your device
5. Relaunch DragonVale
Clock Error
If you are getting an error message that says "Your device clock is incorrect, which causes problems accessing our server", please ensure that your device clock is set to automatic. Please go to settings date & time and verify that "automatic date & time" and "automatic time zone" are both checked.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, please try resetting your Wi-Fi connection, as a weak or unstable signal can sometimes cause this error as well.
Please try the following steps to rest your wifi connection:
1. Turn off Wi-Fi in the settings menu of your device
2. Power cycle your Wi-Fi router
3. Power cycle your device
4. Turn Wi-Fi back on in the settings menu of your device
5. Relaunch DragonVale
