Missing Facebook Friends
If it is your Facebook friends that are missing, please verify that you are signed into Facebook in the Social menu of DragonVale. To do this, please open DragonVale, tap on the "Social" icon, then check the Facebook login button. If you are successfully logged into Facebook the button should say "logout."
If you are not signed in, the button will say "login." If this is the case, please tap the Facebook login button to sign back into your Facebook account. Your friends should then reappear.
You've signed into Facebook, but are still not seeing some of your Facebook friends.
If you are signed into Facebook in the Social menu and are only missing a few of your Facebook friends, it is likely that their parks are not bound to their Facebook accounts. They will need to follow the steps below to bind their park to Facebook.
Please note that you can't do this from your end. It is your missing friends that will need to follow the steps below.
To bind a park to a Facebook account:
- Launch DragonVale
- Tap on the Social icon at the bottom of the screen*
- Tap the Facebook login button. You will be directed to log into Facebook. (if you are already logged into Facebook in the Social menu, please log out first, then log back in again.)
- In the Facebook dialog that opens, Tap "ok" to confirm that you have have authorized DragonVale
- After returning to DragonVale you will receive a prompt asking if you want to associate your park with Facebook. Tap yes to confirm.
- The park will now be bound to Facebook
IMPORTANT: You must use the Facebook button in the Social menu for these instructions. Using the Facebook button in the Switch Parks menu will not bind the park.
If one of your Facebook friends has signed into Facebook and is not appearing in your friends list, please ask them to bind their park to Facebook using the above instructions.
You've signed into Facebook, but still don't see any Facebook friends at all
If you've verified that you are signed into your Facebook account but you aren't seeing any of your Facebook friends at all, you may be signed into an account that doesn't match the one your park is bound to. Please send us an email using the "Email Support" button in the Options menu of DragonVale. This will let us see what accounts you are signed into and make it much easier for us to troubleshoot the issue.
Missing Game Center Friends
If it is your Game Center friends that are missing, please verify that you are signed into Game Center in the Social menu of DragonVale. To do this, please open DragonVale, tap on the "Social" icon, then check the Game Center login button. If you are successfully logged into Game Center the button should say "logout."
If you are not signed in, the button will say "login." If this is the case, please tap the Game Center login button and enter your Apple ID and password to sign back into your Game Center account. Your friends should then reappear.
You've signed into Game Center, but still don't seeing your Game Center friends
If you're signed into Game Center but your friends are still missing, please sign out of Game Center, power-cycle your device (turn it off for 60 seconds, then turn it back on), then sign back into Game Center.
How to sign out of Game Center
- Tap the Settings icon on your device
- Scroll down and tap on Game Center
- Tap on your Apple ID, then tap “Sign Out” in the window that pops up
How to sign into Game Center
- Tap the Settings icon on your device
- Scroll down and tap on Game Center
- Tap on "Game Center Profile"
- Enter the Apple ID and password associated with your Game Center account
Once you sign back into your Game Center account your friends should reappear in DragonVale.
You've tried all the above steps, but still don't see your Game Center friends
If you've tried everything above and still aren't seeing any of your Game Center friends, you may be signed into an account that doesn't match the one your park is bound to. Please send us an email using the "Email Support" button in the Options menu of DragonVale. This will let us see what accounts you are signed into and make it much easier for us to troubleshoot the issue.
